About the Role
This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth and customer obsession. As Customer Success Engineer – Team Lead, you'll take ownership of how our customers experience, adopt, and succeed with the Upsales platform — not just by solving problems, but by building the systems, processes, and team culture that make great support scalable and proactive.
You'll lead a small CS team while staying hands-on yourself — troubleshooting technical issues, guiding customers toward better solutions, and collaborating closely with Product and Engineering to continuously improve the platform and the customer journey.
What You'll Do
Handle and resolve complex technical support cases, and lead the team in doing the same with consistency and quality
Troubleshoot across system logic, data flows, integrations, and APIs
Build scalable processes, documentation, and self-service resources
Work proactively with monitoring and alerting to identify and address issues before they escalate
Collect and synthesize customer feedback, insights, and patterns to inform product decisions
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve the platform based on real customer needs
Lead and develop the CS team — building a culture of ownership, curiosity, and genuine care for customer outcomes
Drive the adoption and development of AI tools within the team — identifying where automation and AI can improve efficiency, response quality, and proactive support, and helping the team build new ways of working around them
Who You Are
Technical background in systems engineering, computer science, or similar
Experience in technical support or customer success engineering in a SaaS environment
Proven experience leading a team
A systems thinker who builds processes, not just fixes problems
Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with data
Genuinely excited about AI and how it can transform customer success
Experience with SQL, APIs, or JavaScript is a plus
Fluent in both Swedish and English
